Turkmen horsemen and Akhal-Teke horses shine at the Ethnosport Festival in Istanbul
The 7th Ethnosport Culture Festival kicked off in Istanbul on May 22. The event, organized by the World Ethnosport Confederation, is taking place on the territory of Ataturk Airport with the participation of representatives from 35 countries. The program covers traditional sports and folk games, craft exhibitions, gastronomic zones and theatrical performances. The festival widely featured national cultural groups from different countries, their customs, equestrian games and traditional sports.
The bright stars of this cultural diversity were the Turkmen riders from the famous equestrian games group "Galkynysh". These virtuosos, riding legendary Akhal-Teke horses, literally captivated the audience with their skills.
The Galkynysh group, created on the initiative of National Leader of the Turkmen people Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, is not just a spectacular show, it is the continuity of heritage and real art born on Turkmen land. Each performance of the group is a vivid testimony to the rich culture of horse breeding in Turkmenistan, which the riders proudly demonstrate on the world stage.
Spectators and international guests of the festival were absolutely delighted by the dizzying tricks performed by the Turkmen horsemen. Of course, the Akhal-Teke horses themselves, the heavenly racehorses specially delivered from Turkmenistan, aroused particular admiration. Their grace, tirelessness and unique presence made them one of the most noticeable decorations of the entire festival.
This colorful international event became not only a triumphant display of the unique horse-breeding heritage of Turkmenistan, but also strengthened the threads of friendship and cultural exchange between the peoples of different countries.
