Ministers of Culture of Turkmenistan and Kyrgyzstan discussed joint projects and tours
Minister of Culture of Turkmenistan Atageldi Shamuradov met in Ashgabat with Minister of Culture, Information, Sports and Youth Policy of Kyrgyzstan Mirbek Mambetaliev, who arrived in the Turkmen capital on a working visit. The meeting, which took place on May 20, was also attended by Chairman of the State Association "Turkmenatlary" Akhmet Berdyev.
The parties had a fruitful conversation, during which they discussed the current state and prospects for further development of cooperation in the cultural and humanitarian spheres. Particular attention was paid to intensifying the touring exchange between creative groups of the two countries at international venues such as TURKSOY and the International Fund for Humanitarian Cooperation of the CIS (IFHC).
Following the meeting, the ministers agreed to expand cultural dialogue and implement joint projects. One of the concrete steps was the invitation by the Kyrgyz side to representatives of Turkmenistan to take part in the international exhibition "ART EXPO", which will be held in the city of Osh from June 15 to 18, 2025. As reported by the press service of the Ministry of Culture, Information, Sports and Youth Policy of the Kyrgyz Republic, the purpose of the exhibition is to demonstrate achievements in the field of culture and art, as well as to strengthen the humanitarian partnership between the countries.
