Telephone conversation between the Chairman of the Khalk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan and the Vice President of the UAE
On May 19, a telephone conversation took place between National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Khalk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Presidential Affairs of the United Arab Emirates Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
As noted during the telephone conversation, relations between Turkmenistan and the UAE are invariably based on the principles of mutual respect and support for each other. In this regard, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov emphasized the presence of great prospects for the development of bilateral trade and economic partnership, as clearly evidenced by the annual increase in trade turnover indicators.
At the same time, the positive practice of constructive cooperation with leading UAE companies developed over many years was noted. In this context, the emphasis was placed on the economic significance of the recently signed documents on cooperation in the oil and gas industry.
During the telephone conversation, upcoming joint and other projects in the interests of the peoples of the two friendly countries were discussed.
Vice President Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan noted that the important agreements reached are a clear example of the rapidly growing interstate cooperation in various fields, in particular, in the fuel and energy sector, and once again expressed sincere gratitude to the head of the Khalk Maslahaty and the President of Turkmenistan, TDH said in a statement.
