Day off in honor of Constitution and Flag Day of Turkmenistan moved to Monday, May 19
In Turkmenistan, the day off that falls on Day of the Constitution and National Flag of Turkmenistan in 2025 has been moved. According to the Decree of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, the day off from May 18 is moved to May 19, 2025 - Monday.
The decree was signed in order to create favorable conditions for the solemn celebration of Day of the Constitution of Turkmenistan and the National Flag of Turkmenistan, as well as comfortable rest of the country's population, the TDH report says. The transfer was carried out in accordance with Part 2 of Article 81 of the Labor Code of Turkmenistan, which provides for the transfer of a day off if a holiday coincides with a day off.
The document obliges all departments, enterprises and organizations, regardless of the form of ownership, to ensure the implementation of this Decree.
That is, Monday, May 19, 2025, will be a non-working day in Turkmenistan. Considering that Constitution and National Flag Day (May 18) falls on Sunday this year (which is already a day off), residents of the country will get an extra day off after the main weekend.
