According to the results of the first four months of 2025, Turkmenistan's gross domestic product grew by 6.3%. This was reported by Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Hojamyrat Geldimyradov during a regular government meeting on Thursday, May 8th.

As the Deputy Prime Minister noted, economic growth was ensured by positive dynamics in key sectors. Specifically, industry showed a growth of 0.6%, construction – 4.4%, the transport and communication sector – 11.1%, the trade sector – 9.9%, agriculture – 4%, and the service sector – 8.8%. This was reported in a news release by the Turkmen State Television and Radio Broadcasting Company.

Compared to the same period last year, the volume of produced goods increased by 9.7%. Retail trade turnover grew by 12.4%, and the volume of foreign trade turnover – by 2.2%.

According to the announced data, production indicators in the main sectors maintain a positive trend.
