Ten vocalists, students of the Turkmen National Conservatory named after Maya Kulieva, as part of the Grand Youth Combined Choir of the Commonwealth of Independent States, will participate in a concert near the Moscow Kremlin dedicated to the 80th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War. The event, featuring leading Russian musicians, actors, and creative groups, united by a common dramaturgy and script, with unique scenographic, visual, and lighting solutions, will take place on May 9th in “Zaryadye” Park, as reported on the website of the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation.

This will be the first performance of the Grand Youth Combined Choir of the CIS, the creation of which was initiated last year by the Minister of Culture of Russia, Olga Lyubimova, at the XXXIX meeting of the CIS Council for Cultural Cooperation. The head of the Russian agency emphasized that cultural ties between the CIS countries are only strengthening year by year, which allows residents of these states to jointly implement various projects such as exhibitions, concerts, festivals, and tours.

The Russian side proposed appointing the Gnessin Russian Academy of Music, the basic organization of the CIS member states in the field of music and education in culture and art, as the curator of the project. According to Russian media reports, citing the rector of the academy, Alexander Ryzhinsky, the youth ensemble will perform well-known wartime songs such as Alexandrov's "The Sacred War" Bogoslovsky's "Dark Night" and other popular works.
