The European immunization week has commenced

The Country Office of the World Health Organization (WHO), in collaboration with the Ministry of Health and Medical Industry of Turkmenistan and the Representative Office of the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) in Turkmenistan, has inaugurated the annual European Immunization Week (EIW).
The European Immunization Week will continue until May 3rd, emphasizing the necessity of urgently achieving high rates of equitable vaccination coverage across all communities.
This year, the European Immunization Week is being held under the slogan "Achieving immunization for all – it is within our power". Throughout the week, information will be disseminated about vaccines and the importance of reaching every individual with health protection measures through immunization.
The commencement of EIW activities will be marked by a meeting to discuss the role of timely vaccination in the success of immunization, and to review key aspects of the European Immunization Agenda for the period up to 2030.
On April 29th, a round table discussion will be held with the participation of specialists from United Nations agencies working on health programs (WHO, UNICEF, UNFPA, UNDP, IOM, and others), physicians, and students. This event will aim to address misconceptions surrounding vaccination.
