Among the participants of the International Conference “Quality Assurance in Accordance with International Standards in Turkmenistan” are young and dynamic experts shaping the future of the industry. One of them is Murtaza Umerkulov, a certification specialist at Chase United. Originally from Tashkent, he received his education in Italy, completed an internship in the Netherlands and today is a recognized expert in international certifications and social audits, specializing in sustainable development and quality standards in the textile industry.

Murtaza Umerkulov proudly noted the honor of being part of QACIS in Ashgabat. At this important regional platform, he will focus on a relevant topic: how certification according to OECD standards and regulatory requirements of the European Union affect the future of textile exports from Central Asian countries.

In his presentation, the expert will look in detail at how specific standards, such as OEKO-TEX Standard 100 and other schemes, meet the growing demands of the European market in terms of trust, transparency and sustainability. His focus is on the practical steps needed to achieve compliance, which opens the door to exports.

The ultimate goal of Murtaza Umerkulov’s participation in the conference is to facilitate cooperation between all key participants in the supply chain: buyers, producers and policy makers in the industry. Such interaction, in his opinion, is necessary to create a stronger and more competitive certified textile supply chain in the region.

Murtaza Umerkulov expressed confidence in the possibility of fruitful cooperation with all participants of the event and looks forward to seeing them at QACIS 2025 in Ashgabat.
