Kairat Umarov: Experience of preventive diplomacy in Central Asia can be used in other regions of the world

The UN Security Council held consultations on the Regional Centre for Preventive Diplomacy for Central Asia (UNRCCA).
- Positive ten-year experience in the use of preventive diplomacy in Central Asia works and can be used in other regions of the world, said the permanent representative of Kazakhstan to the UN Kairat Umarov, giving an appraisal to the activities of the dialogue mission, the idea of which belongs to Turkmenistan.
-At the same time, the Central Asian countries are aimed at working on their own to find a solution to regional problems, and need only the support of the international community in the field of economic development of the region, he added.
The high-ranking Kazakh diplomat also told about the outcomes of the first consultative meeting of the heads of Central Asian states hosted by Astana in March this year, noting that a new reality is emerging in the region thanks to the friendly contacts between the Central Asian leaders, which are the key core of the deepening of bilateral relations.
Umarov also stressed that Central Asia is open to the implementation of an innovative regional development strategy that will facilitate cooperation between the Central Asian countries and Afghanistan in the transit-transport, trade-economic and humanitarian areas, as well as in the maintenance of peace and security in the region.
The members of the Security Council highly appreciated the activities of the UNRCCA and stressed the importance of strengthening regional cooperation to achieve sustainable development in Central Asia.
