Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and Kassym-Jomart Tokayev visited the Turkestan Industrial Park
The Chairman of the Khalk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan and the President of Kazakhstan visited the SPK Turkistan Industrial Park on April 22 and inspected the industrial exhibition held there.
Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov got acquainted with the products presented by Kazakhstani manufacturers engaged in the space industry, mechanical engineering, metallurgy, construction, light, food and chemical industries, Akorda reports.
The distinguished guests were shown cars, agricultural and household appliances, medical equipment, industrial batteries, textiles, clothing and other goods.
The main goal of creating the industrial park SPK Turkistan is the creation of high-tech, import-substituting and export-oriented industries, as well as support and assistance in the development of small and medium-sized businesses in the industrial sector of the Turkestan region, the development and promotion of Kazakhstan's non-resource exports with the attraction of direct domestic and foreign investment in priority sectors of the economy.
At the moment, 6 investment projects are being implemented here, the production of rain and drip irrigation systems, agricultural tractors, school, medical and office furniture, industrial refrigerators have been established. The next stage of the park's development includes the construction of 112 facilities on an area of 70 hectares, as well as the launch of 13 new projects.
