National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Khalk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, who is on a visit to Kazakhstan, in the city of Turkestan, together with President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev visited the Turkistan visit center.
The distinguished guests were presented with information about the projects for the development and improvement of the ancient settlement of Kultebe, the museumification of the historical site, where archaeological excavations have been completed on an area of 27 hectares.
The concept of the Center of Craftsmen, the opening of which is planned for the near future, was also presented. It will house craft workshops, national gastronomic centers, an oriental bazaar and hotels.
On March 25, by the decision of the international organization World Craft Council, Turkestan received the status of "City of Craftsmen".
In addition, the President of Kazakhstan and the Chairman of the Khalk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan were shown unique historical exhibits of the Khoja Ahmed Yasawi mausoleum, the Akorda statement said.
