The Deputy Minister of Education of Turkmenistan, Mr. Azat Atayev, held a meeting with the Director of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization's (UNESCO) Office and UNESCO Representative to the United Nations, Mr. Eliot Minchenberg.

Within the framework of the Second "Central Asia Youth Dialogue" meeting, organized at the UN Headquarters in New York upon the initiative of Turkmenistan, the parties highly commended the long-standing cooperation between Turkmenistan and UNESCO in the fields of education, science, and culture.

The Deputy Minister emphasized that Turkmenistan is actively integrating advanced international approaches, collaborating with UNESCO structures such as the Institute for Information Technologies in Education (IITE). In particular, the successful experience of joint work on the digital transformation of the educational process was noted, including the development of a national digital learning platform and the implementation of modern solutions based on artificial intelligence.

In turn, Mr. Minchenberg positively characterized the effectiveness of Turkmenistan's interaction with the UNESCO Institute for Information Technologies in Education within the framework of the Roadmap of Actions signed in 2023. He expressed his readiness to support Turkmenistan's initiatives at the UN platform that promote the exchange of advanced educational practices and technologies.

The Director of the UNESCO Office to the UN expressed interest in holding joint events under the auspices of UNESCO at the UN platform, such as a forum dedicated to the role of digital technologies in ensuring sustainable development and strengthening the culture of peace and trust.

In conclusion of the meeting, the parties expressed confidence that the agreements reached will open new prospects for strengthening the partnership between Turkmenistan and UNESCO, contributing to the achievement of common goals in the fields of education, science, and culture.
