The president of Turkmenistan set tasks before art workers and mass-media for the next year
President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov discussed issues for the next year, the significant 30th anniversary of independence of Turkmenistan today with heads of spheres of culture and mass-media.
The meeting was held in a videoconference mode. At first the head of the state listened to reports of Minister of Culture Atageldy Shamyradov, Chairman of the State News Agency–TDH Bekdurdy Amansaryev, Chairman of the State Committee of Turkmenistan for Television, Radio Broadcasting and Cinematography Arslan Ashyrov and Chairman of the State Publishing Service Akmyrat Khudayberdiev on the basic results of work realized in the outgoing year.
The issue also concerned processes of modernisation and digitization of the activity of these departments, the key events which have occurred in their area, development of the international contacts and plans for 2021.
Then Vice-Premier for Culture and Mass Media Mahrijemal Mammedova spoke, generalising the state of affairs in these spheres, characterised as a whole mainstreams of work of culture establishments and information agencies and reported on the preparation of the actions connected with celebrating of the anniversary date in the upcoming year.
President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov thanked all creative figures of the country for the important contribution to state and society development. New time puts forward new tasks, the Turkmen leader told, having noted that the special role in their solution is played by representatives of spheres of culture and journalists.
The head of the state gave the task to heads participating in the meeting to develop the plan of preparation for the 30th anniversary of independence of Turkmenistan, having designated its high lights and purposes.
The president also touched upon the strategy of development of culture and mass-media, having placed on emphasis on their mission to educate and spiritualize a society, to inform and confirm humanistic ideals.
Berdimuhamedov also developed upon professional training, beginning from revealing of young talents to traditions of preceptorship which are strong in Turkmen art, and development of the latest technologies by young experts.
Tasks related to expansion of use of electronic format in the activity of cultural establishments, including adjustment of Internet trade of domestic publishing production, development of home market of such segment as electronic and audiobooks were also assigned.
