An exhibition of hand-painted cards that went on a journey around the world from the World Festival of Youth and Students in Sochi opened in the House of Nationalities of the city of Ivanov, which unites many Turkmen diasporas. Several cards were sent to Turkmenistan. They were received by students studying in Russian universities. Anastasia Novoseltseva, for example, is studying in Rostov-on-Don. But on vacation she will definitely return home and bring home a postcard given to her at the festival. They were brought to them by Ivanovo journalists.Leonid KIYASHKO, journalist, Ivanovo, Russian Federation
From the city of brides, as the Russian city of Ivanovo is called, she was given a card with a mother and her children. The postcard was painted by children engaged in art studio. Nastia did the same thing herself.
Guzel Nuriyeva and Sheker Berdieva, Turkmen students of Maikop State Technological University, received two more postcards adorned with patterns known as "oriental cucumbers". And their friend Sheker Saparova will send a postcard directly from Mary, from where she came to the festival in Sochi. Girls are incredibly happy with this gift and promise return cards.
"Pupils of the studio "Improvisation" in the city of Ivanov draw postcards with such patterns. They are also found on Turkmen shawls," the Turkmen students tell in a video, which was mounted specifically for the international project "Ivanovo postcards - to all continents".
At the exhibition in Ivanovo, this video greeting was received by the pupil of the Dorothea fashion theater, Marfa Antipova, admiring the patterns of the Turkmen flag, which were recorded in the video. The video in general perfectly complements the exhibition of postcards, which is shown now in the House of Nationalities. And soon it will go on a trip to the Ivanovo region, because it was included in the resource center base in the sphere of national relations.
70 postcards, which became "visiting cards" of the Ivanovo region, flew like birds around the world. This is over 20 countries, including Turkmenistan, of which we have already mentioned, as well as Algeria, Egypt, Cuba, Azerbaijan, Armenia, France, Bulgaria and other corners of the globe. Response cards have already come from Brazil, Australia and even Antarctica. From the icy continent, scientists sent polar telegrams.
The project really turned out to be international. Special souvenirs for participants of the World Festival of Youth and Students were made by the masters of the public organization "Grani". Fabric bag, for example, went to Margarita Simonyan - Russia Today editor-in-chief and, as it became known recently, one of the most influential women in the world according to the Forbes version. A kitchen spatula with African motifs went to Morocco.
At the opening ceremony of the exhibition participants and guests welcomed the director of the Ivanovo House of Nationalities (who co-hosted the project of postcards) Nikolai Karika. According to him, the World Festival of Youth and Students in Sochi has become one of the most significant events of this year for all mankind.
"The festival gathered a huge number of delegates from different countries, demonstrated the desire for friendship, peace, cooperation and mutual understanding. And it's great that thanks to the project "Ivanovo postcards - to all continents" the inhabitants of the most remote corners of the planet learned that there is a city on the map of the earth called Ivanovo, with wonderful people and talented children who also dream of peace and harmony, "- noted the head of IHN.
The House of Nationalities in Ivanovo is the third most important in Russia after Moscow and St. Petersburg, which have long and successfully developed cultural ties with Turkmenistan.
