On Wednesday, April 9 Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan Nokerguly Atagulyev met with Ambassador of the Republic of Belarus to Turkmenistan Stanislav Chepurny.

During the meeting, the parties discussed the current state and prospects for the development of bilateral trade and economic relations, as well as a number of key issues aimed at further strengthening mutually beneficial partnership.

The main focus was on analyzing the current level and potential for increasing trade turnover between Turkmenistan and Belarus, the Belarusian MFA reports.

The parties exchanged views on the possibilities of expanding the range of products supplied and finding new areas for mutually beneficial trade.

A separate topic of discussion was the participation of enterprises from both countries in exhibitions, fairs and other business events held in Turkmenistan and Belarus. Such events are an important platform for establishing direct contacts between business representatives, demonstrating investment potential and concluding new contracts. Active participation of business circles in the upcoming forums and exhibitions will contribute to the intensification of trade and economic ties.

During the meeting, the work of trading houses created in both countries to promote the development of bilateral trade and provide support to entrepreneurs was also touched upon. Further improvement of the activities of these structures and increasing their efficiency will contribute to the promotion of goods and services in the markets of Turkmenistan and Belarus.

The key point of the negotiations was the confirmation of mutual interest in activating direct contacts between entrepreneurs of the two countries. Establishing strong business ties, holding joint business forums and participating in industry conferences will support the implementation of the existing potential of trade and economic cooperation.

The meeting confirmed the readiness of the parties to continue to make joint efforts to strengthen and expand mutually beneficial trade and economic relations between Turkmenistan and the Republic of Belarus.
