E-sports, which was presented as a demonstration competition at the Ashgabat 2017 Games, is entering a new era of its development in the Asian region. The president of the Asian Federation of Electronic Sports Kenneth Fock is convinced of this. "The fact that electronic sports are also announced in the demo nomination at the Asian Games-2018 in Indonesia is an indicator of a sustained interest in cybersport in Asia," he said. The Federation aims to hold 8 events within the framework of the Asian Games in order to promote athletes to participate in top-level competitions. It should be noted that Kenneth Fock became president of the Asian Federation of Electronic Sports during the 5th Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games in September 2017 in the Turkmen capital. After the Ashgabat 2017 Games world media wrote that e-sports can add to the list of Olympic sports. After all, it was at these competitions that e-sport showed itself as an independent sports discipline, which arouses great interest of viewers and fans.
