Boeing plans to create a passenger aircraft that can fly at a speed of five times the speed of sound. The concept of the future aircraft was presented at the conference of the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics, held recently in Atlanta, USA. The largest aircraft manufacturer claims that the new hypersonic passenger aircraft will be able to deliver you anywhere in the world within 1-3 hours at a speed of 6 thousand 100 kilometers per hour. Thus, the flight on this plane from New York to London must take no more than two hours. For comparison, this route on ordinary passenger airlines takes about seven hours. This means that you can go to a meeting on another continent overseas and return home on the same day! A high speed liner will have a streamlined shape of the fuselage, which will better overcome the sound barrier. The aircraft will be able to carry up to 32 passengers, not counting the crew members. The company claims that the concept is in the development stage and it is necessary to solve a lot of key technical problems of the project. Boeing spokeswoman Brianna Jackson said that the project will become a reality in the next 20-30 years. In the case of the project, a hypersonic aircraft from Boeing will become one of the fastest manned vehicles in history. It will be twice as fast as the legendary Concorde, a supersonic aircraft that did transatlantic flights in four hours, but for some reason it was discontinued almost 20 years ago. Unlike ordinary passenger aircraft, which flies at 9-12 thousand kilometers above the ground, a new hypersonic aircraft will fly at an incredible height of 27-28 thousand kilometers.
