Turkmenistan's Neutrality - Contribution to Global Peace and Trust: Conference in Ashgabat
On March 24, Ashgabat hosted a conference entitled "International Year of Peace and Trust: Triumph of Permanent Neutrality of Turkmenistan" dedicated to the adoption of the Resolution "Permanent Neutrality of Turkmenistan" during the 61st plenary meeting of the 79th session of the UN General Assembly. The event, held at the Mekan Palace, became a platform for discussing the role of neutrality in strengthening international peace and trust.
The conference was attended by representatives of the government of Turkmenistan, the diplomatic corps, international organizations, scientists, students and the media.
The key point was the discussion of the significance of the UN resolution, which, according to the participants, is a confirmation of Turkmenistan's consistent peace-loving foreign policy.
