Christmas charity event held in Ashgabat

A charity event was held today in the banquet hall "Ak Altyn" , timed to celebrate Orthodox Christmas. It involved over 200 children with disabilities, children from low-income families, as well as their parents. Despite the fact that Christmas is part of the Christian tradition, representatives of different faiths and nationalities joined the charity event, which reflects the openness and tolerance of the Turkmen society, in which people with different religious views coexist harmoniously.Aijahan ATABALLYEVA
During the event, the children were able to plunge into the New Year's atmosphere, share their dreams and desires with Father Frost and Snow Maiden, together with fairy-tale characters start a round dance with songs around the elegant Christmas tree.
Also the kids participated in prepared interesting entertainment, games and dance contests. To all the present children the organizers presented New Year's gifts, collected for voluntary donations. By happy faces of children and their parents, endless laughter in the hall, it was possible to judge that the holiday was a success.
This is the great merit of ordinary people who joined a good cause, thus making hundreds of children's hearts happy, giving them a real fairy tale, unforgettable impressions that will remain with them forever. After all, the New Year is the time for the fulfillment of desires. It's especially nice when you personally realize someone's dream, no matter how.small it is.
