On Thursday, Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Yerevan Muhammetgeldy Ayazov was received by Armenian President Vahagn Khachaturyan.

The Ambassador conveyed to the Armenian President an invitation on behalf of National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Khalk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov to attend a representative forum of the International Year of Peace and Trust, dedicated to the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan's permanent neutrality.

Vahagn Khachaturyan noted that he fully supports Turkmenistan's neutrality policy and highly appreciates the work carried out by Turkmenistan to ensure peace throughout the world. He accepted the invitation with great gratitude and announced that the Republic of Armenia will be represented at this event by a high-level delegation.

Ambassador Ayazov announced the holding of an investment forum in Ashgabat on March 18 of this year, to which the heads of relevant state structures of Armenia have been invited, and also spoke about the progress of preparations for the next meeting of the Turkmen-Armenian intergovernmental commission on economic cooperation, which will be held in Yerevan, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan said in a statement.
