The Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Charitable Foundation and UNICEF held a meeting in Arkadag
A meeting was held in the city of Arkadag between the Vice President for Medical Activities of the Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Charitable Foundation for Assistance to Children in Need of Care, Oguljahan Atabayeva, and the representative of the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) in Turkmenistan, Jalpa Ratna.
During the meeting, the parties noted the fruitful cooperation between the Foundation and UNICEF, aimed at promoting the humanistic principles of the Turkmen people. Jalpa Ratna emphasized the high authority of the Foundation in the international arena and noted with satisfaction the signing of a number of bilateral documents between UNICEF and various ministries and departments of Turkmenistan. She also highly praised the humanitarian activities of the Foundation, calling it exemplary for the whole world and noting the significant contribution of the Foundation under the leadership of the National Leader of the Turkmen people.
It was emphasized that over the four years of its activity, the Fund has provided significant assistance to children affected by natural disasters in different countries, and also provided treatment for many needy children in Turkmenistan.
Oguljahan Atabayeva reported on the planned large-scale events dedicated to the 4th anniversary of the establishment of the Fund, and invited UNICEF representatives to take part in them. During the meeting, further areas of cooperation were also discussed, as reported in the news release of the Turkmen state television and radio.
On the same day, the Vice President of the Fund held a meeting of the Board, at which special attention was paid to the organization and holding of events dedicated to the anniversary of the Fund. The need to reflect in these events the achievements of the Fund in strengthening the health of the younger generation within the framework of the state program "Saglyk" was emphasized. The importance of further development of the original humane principles and exchange of experience with other countries in this area was also noted.
