New project for livestock development in Turkmenistan
A large-scale project for the development of livestock farming is beginning in Turkmenistan, aimed at increasing the production of meat and dairy products. The corresponding Resolution was signed by President Serdar Berdimuhamedov on Wednesday.
According to the document, the State Association of Livestock and Poultry Industry will draw up a project for the livestock farm of the state enterprise "Altyn halka".
The project envisages the reconstruction of existing facilities and the construction of new buildings, their equipping with modern machinery and equipment. According to the resolution, the State Association must purchase the appropriate agricultural equipment and specialized transport, as well as highly productive breeds of cattle.
The head of state obliged the customer to begin the relevant work in March in order to put the livestock farm into operation exactly one year later.
It is expected that this project, by increasing the efficiency of the livestock industry, will make a significant contribution to the food security of the country of Turkmenistan.
