Summing up the results of the innovative startups competition “Digital Solution – 2020” was held as part of the pre-holiday diversified exhibition, which is taking place these days in Ashgabat. The competition for innovative projects was organized by the Turkmenaragatnashyk State Agency, based on the objectives contained in the Concept for the Digital Economy Development in Turkmenistan for 2019-2025, and was designed to stimulate the ongoing digitalization processes in all areas of the country’s life. The projects were presented in 7 nominations: healthcare, science and education, industry, transport and communications, service sector, medium and small business, and smart city. Several prizes were established in each of the nominations. As was expected, the “Digital Solution 2020” competition helped to identify promising innovators among young people. Thus, the prize in the relevant category was awarded to the project of a mobile application for online payment using a QR code, developed by students of the Institute of Engineering, Technical and Transport Communications of Turkmenistan Dadebay Gurbanov and Murad Sahedov. Institute teacher Ata Jumakuliev was a project manager for talented children. The startup project offers the payment of purchases and utility bills, and transferring money from one account to another using a QR code. The youngest participant in the competition “Digital Solution – 2020” was an eighth-grader of a capital’s school Agageldy Artykov, who has developed a program for remote opening and closing of garage doors after scanning the car license plate. Another attractive project was the “Speech to text” voice typing program, which works with the help of artificial intelligence. It was presented to the competition by student at the Oguzhan University of Engineering and Technology Jasurbek Ashirbaev.
