A UAE-based telecommunications provider, du, has launched a new electronic SIM card, Travel, specifically designed for transit passengers traveling through UAE airports.

The SIM card provides seamless connectivity for subscribers in over 190 countries.

This initiative stems from the company's intention to enhance connectivity for transit passengers.

To activate the SIM card, travelers must scan a QR code displayed on advertising displays using Wi-Fi. Users are redirected to a web page where they can select various data packages based on the duration of their trip and their needs.

Subsequently, the user will receive the electronic SIM card via email for immediate activation upon arrival at their destination.
