New passenger liner replenishes Turkmenistan aircraft fleet
Turkmenistan purchased one more Boeing-737-800 passenger liner at the manufacturing company. According to the State News Agency of Turkmenistan, the new liner – the third Boeing-737-800 aircraft in the national fleet of the country landed at the Ashgabat Airport yesterday. The crew team of the Turkmenhowayollary Service made the long-distance flight from Seattle to Ashgabat. The unrefueled range of the new aircraft is almost 6,000 km. The comfortable airliner Boeing 737-800 seats 160 passengers and its flight-speed is 850 km per hour. The new liner is another opportunity for the transit potential of the country as well. According to the statistics, one aircraft makes 10% of the passenger flow in an airport per year. At present, Turkmenistan aircraft fleet includes such Boeing aircrafts as Boeing-757, Boeing-737, Boeing-717 as well as long-range, wide-body twin-engine jet airliner Boeing-767-300 ER.
