New procedure for certification of sports services in Turkmenistan will improve the quality of service
In February, the Ministry of Justice of Turkmenistan registered a joint order of the leadership of the State Committee of Turkmenistan for Physical Culture and Sports of the Main State Service "Turkmenstandarts", approving a new procedure for certification of services in the field of physical culture and sports. The document regulates the procedure for certification of all sports services in the country and is aimed at ensuring the safety of citizens, quality control of services provided and protecting consumers from poor quality service. According to the new procedure, all legal entities and individuals providing services in the field of physical culture and sports are required to obtain a certificate of conformity. Certification will be carried out by the Organization for the Conduct and Coordination of Sports Events of the State Committee of Turkmenistan for Physical Culture and Sports, which has passed state accreditation in "Turkmenstandarts".
Strict standards for technical equipment, safety, sanitary and epidemiological conditions and fire protection of premises are established for sports facilities. Professional requirements for service providers in this area are also provided. Sports organizations must have qualified specialists who meet the requirements approved by the State Committee for Physical Culture and Sports.
The certificate of conformity is issued for a period of up to three years. Certified services will undergo an annual check for compliance with the established requirements. Provision of services without a certificate is subject to liability in accordance with the legislation of Turkmenistan.
Owners of sports complexes, fitness centers and other providers of sports services are advised to familiarize themselves with the requirements of the new order in advance and bring their activities into compliance with them.
