The Chinese company Oppo has introduced its latest foldable smartphone, the Find N5, which claims the title of the world's thinnest.

When unfolded, the device boasts a mere 4.21mm thickness, only slightly exceeding the dimensions of a USB Type-C port. In its folded state, the thickness increases to 8.93mm. This makes the Find N5 slimmer than the previous market leader, the Honor Magic V3, which measured 4.35mm unfolded and 9.3mm folded. A key factor in achieving this remarkable thinness is the new Titanium Flexion Hinge, a titanium hinge mechanism that is 26% smaller than that of the Find N3 model, while also providing enhanced rigidity. Additionally, Oppo has incorporated 3D-printed panels and carbon fiber materials, contributing to a reduced device weight of 229g.

The Oppo Find N5 also marks a milestone as the first foldable smartphone to achieve IPX6, IPX8, and IPX9 water resistance ratings. The device is capable of withstanding high-pressure jets of hot water and short-term submersion. The smartphone's frame is constructed from 7000-series aluminum, recognized for its exceptional strength and durability.

The Oppo Find N5 will be available for purchase starting February 28th, and will be offered in black, white, and lavender color options.
