Kazakhstan plans to lay fiber optic communication line through Turkmenistan

Kazakhstan to acquire new internet access points.

As reported by LS, citing the Ministry of Digital Development of Kazakhstan, the construction of a fiber optic communication line (FOCL) through Turkmenistan, Afghanistan, and Iran is currently under discussion. This line will provide access to the Persian Gulf internet.

Additionally, the project to lay FOCL along the bottom of the Caspian Sea continues to be implemented. To this end, a joint venture with equal participation from "Kazakhtelecom" and Azertelecom has been established.
