The State Customs Service of Turkmenistan has launched the first mobile application on customs rules. The project was implemented with the support of the European Union in cooperation with the Border Management Assistance Program in Central Asia (BOMCA 10).

According to the newspaper "Neutral Turkmenistan", the presentation of the application took place on February 19 in Ashgabat. The application provides users with up-to-date information on customs procedures for individuals and legal entities, regulations, a list of prohibited goods, contact details of customs brokers, as well as an online tariff calculator and the ability to fill out a passenger declaration offline.

In the process, the needs of the customs service were taken into account, and the product itself was adapted for iOS and Android. Since February 2024, the application has been downloaded by 8 thousand people, including more than a thousand users from Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Turkey and other countries, including 600 from Turkmenistan.

According to the Deputy Coordinator of the BOMCA Program, Vladimir Zaguzovs, the application facilitates customs procedures and promotes trade and tourism by providing access to the necessary information in Turkmen, Russian and English. The application is available for free on Google Play and the App Store.
