A horse racing event featuring Akhal-Teke horses was held in a city in China
An unforgettable equestrian event took place in the Chinese city of Linyi with the start of the new year. On February 15, 2025, in the Tancheng County of Linyi City, at the Akhal-Teke breeding base, the equestrian competitions " Holiday Races for New Year - Striving for New Heights" were successfully completed.
The competitions were organized under the leadership of the Linyi Sports Association with the support of the Linyi Equestrian Association, the Tancheng County Culture and Tourism Bureau, the local administration and the local media center. More than 60 riders from three neighboring provinces of China - Jiangsu, Shandong and Anhui - took part in these competitions. It was not only a sporting event, but also a significant event for cultural exchange, uniting regions through equestrian sport.
As the president of the Linyi Equestrian Association and a member of the International Association of Akhal-Teke Horse Breeding Yang Weiqing emphasized, the Chinese center for breeding Akhal-Teke horses has done a great job to increase the number of this unique breed. This tournament took into account many aspects to attract a wide audience. The program of the event included both professional competitions and amateur groups, with the participation of both experienced riders and beginners.
As part of the tournament, speed and long-distance races were held, which allowed viewers to experience all the beauty and dynamics of equestrian sports. Taking into account the natural advantages of the Chinese Akhal-Teke breeding base, the organizers also included unique "horse-tourist" events in the program.
