On International Book Giving Day, the Embassy of Turkmenistan in Moscow donated books


On February 14, an event dedicated to Day of Diplomats and International Book Giving Day was held in Moscow at the Library of Foreign Literature named after M.I. Rudomino. Representatives of the diplomatic corps accredited in the Russian Federation, heads of public organizations and cultural figures took part in the event.
A book giving campaign was held as part of the event: the Ambassador of Turkmenistan donated new books by President Serdar Berdimuhamedov and the National Leader of the Turkmen People, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov to the Library of Foreign Literature - "Magtymguly – the Sage of the World" and "Jewel of the Mind", respectively.

General Director of the Library of Foreign Literature Pavel Kuzmin expressed gratitude and appreciation for the donated books and noted that they will take a worthy place in the library collection and will be interesting and useful to readers.
International Book Giving Day has been celebrated since 2012 on February 14. On this day, book lovers around the world congratulate each other, donate and transfer books to charity, hold various flash mobs and events aimed at increasing interest in reading.
