Turkmenistan continues to demonstrate steady rates of economic growth. As of January 2025, the country's GDP increased by 6.3%. Notably, the transport and communication sector made the largest contribution to this growth, showing an 11.1% increase. This indicates the successful implementation of government programs to modernize transport infrastructure and develop logistics and communication services.

For comparison, the GDP growth rates in other sectors of the economy were as follows: trade – 9.9%, services – 9%, agriculture – 4.2%, construction – 2%, industry – 1%. These figures were announced at a meeting of the Turkmen government on Friday, February 14.
