Turkmen students participated in the VI Republican Festival for schoolchildren in Tatarstan
Turkmen students took part in the opening ceremony of the Republican Native Language Festival for students of general education organizations "Kaleidoscope of Cultures" in the Sabinsky district of Tatarstan.
This year, the honorary guests of the Kaleidoscope of Cultures were the head of the Sabinsky municipal district Rais Minnikhanov, representatives of diplomatic agencies accredited in the Republic of Tatarstan.
During the festival, schoolchildren in grades 4-11 studying foreign languages, winners and prize-winners of the All-Russian Olympiad were introduced to the culture, art of other countries, including Turkmenistan.
As part of the opening ceremony of the festival, the Consulate General of Turkmenistan presented Rais Nurgaliyevich Minnikhanov with a book by the Esteemed President of Turkmenistan "Magtymguly - the Sage of the World". Expressing gratitude to the Consulate General of Turkmenistan, the head of the municipality noted that this valuable book will be transferred to the district library so that residents of the district can get acquainted with it.
Turkmen students studying in Kazan made a presentation about Turkmenistan, poems by Magtymguly were recited in Turkmen, Russian and Tatar languages, songs about Turkmenistan, about friendship and peace were performed. Participants were also shown the technique of making alaja.
The "Kaleidoscope of Cultures" festival is held annually to generate interest in foreign language education, identify, develop and support schoolchildren gifted in learning foreign languages, and form students' interest and positive attitude to foreign languages, history, spiritual heritage, and preservation of the traditions of their native land.
