Projects from Turkmenistan recognized at the International "EcoWorld-2024" competition
On February 7, a ceremony was held in Moscow at the Central House of Scientists to announce the results of the International Environmental Competition "EcoWorld-2024", held by the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences.
Three projects from Turkmenistan were recognized by the competition jury. Specifically, the international environmental prize was awarded to the projects "An Innovative Method of Generating Electricity from Salt Water" and "An Innovation for the Separate Collection of Plastic Waste “Fandomat”. A methodology for the mathematical calculation of wind-blown sand transport in desert areas and methods for its stabilization was awarded a 3rd-degree laureate diploma and a competition medal.
The organizers, in presenting the awards to a representative of the Embassy of Turkmenistan in the Russian Federation, noted the relevance of the scientific problems in the works of the Turkmen scientists, the high level of knowledge, and the creative approach of the authors.
The International Environmental Competition "EcoWorld-2024" has been held annually since 2003, with the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences as the organizer.
In 2024, representatives from 23 countries participated in the "EcoWorld" competition, submitting over 150 works to the jury for consideration. These works focused on the development of environmental science, raising the level of environmental education and culture of the population, the dissemination of environmentally friendly technologies, improving public health, and preserving biodiversity.
