Turkmenistan at the Second Regional Meeting on the implementation of the Global Compact for Safe, Orderly and Regular Migration
A Turkmen delegation, headed by the Deputy Chairman of the State Migration Service of Turkmenistan, participated in the Second Regional Meeting of Asia-Pacific countries on the implementation of the Global Compact for Safe, Orderly and Regular Migration. The event was co-organized by the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (UNESCAP) and the International Organization for Migration (IOM). The meeting took place in Bangkok, Kingdom of Thailand, according to the website of the State Migration Service of Turkmenistan.
In his address, the head of the Turkmen delegation emphasized the humanitarian policy pursued by Turkmenistan under the leadership of the Esteemed President, and spoke about the positive experience gained by the country in cooperation with reputable international organizations and their structures.
