Meeting between the General consuls of Turkmenistan and Pakistan held in Herat

On February 3, 2025, an introductory meeting was held between the newly appointed General consul  of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan in Herat, Haider Manawer, and the General consul of Turkmenistan, B. Yolov. During the meeting, which took place at the Consulate General of Turkmenistan, the parties highlighted the high level of cooperation between the two countries. he diplomats discussed bilateral relations in political, trade-economic, and humanitarian spheres. The interlocutors exchanged views on joint projects, including the Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan-India (TAPI) gas pipeline and the Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan power transmission lines, as well as related initiatives.

It was emphasized that these projects play a crucial role in ensuring peace in Afghanistan and the entire region, as well as in promoting regional economic development.

At the end of the meeting, the parties expressed confidence in the continued development of mutually beneficial cooperation between Turkmenistan and the Islamic Republic of Pakistan.
