All authorities of the Russian Federation support agreement between Turkmenistan and Russian Federation on Strategic Partnership


On June 18, members of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Federation Council supported the ratification of the Agreement between Turkmenistan and Russian Federation on Strategic Partnership approved earlier by the Chamber of Regions, the Parliamentary Newspaper reports. Representatives of the Committee noted that the parties’ strategic partnership is aimed at expanding cooperation in the political, economic and humanitarian spheres, creating favorable conditions for mutual security and joint strengthening regional stability. “Turkmenistan is our important global partner, and I am confident that this agreement will become an important element in the development of our bilateral relations,” said Konstantin Kosachev, Chair of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Federation Council.
