In Turkmenistan, an exhibition dedicated to the 2025 motto has opened in Mary
The Mary Regional Museum of Local Lore has opened an exhibition dedicated to the 2025 motto – "International Year of Peace and Trust", as reported by the "Neutral Turkmenistan" newspaper.
Visitors are presented with artifacts discovered during excavations of historical monuments in the Mary region, including ceramic tableware, fragments of wall decor, as well as examples of ancient women's and children's clothing, and silver jewelry. A special place in the exposition is occupied by works of contemporary Turkmen artists.
The exhibits of the thematic exhibition tell about the history of the region, known as the cradle of one of the ancient civilizations. The Mary region is rich in ancient monuments. The ruins of Ancient Merv and the remains of the Gonur Depe settlement, the largest city of the Margush kingdom, are located here. In addition, the routes of the Great Silk Road passed through this region of the republic.
