Turkmenistan and Italy aim to strengthen multilateral ties
On January 14, 2025, the Foreign Ministry of Turkmenistan hosted a meeting between Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov and Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of Italy Edmondo Cirielli, who arrived in Ashgabat on a working visit.
During the meeting, the diplomats emphasized the importance of bilateral political dialogue and discussed the prospects for developing relations between Turkmenistan and Italy in the trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian fields.
It was noted that high-level contacts play an important role in promoting bilateral ties.
During the meeting, the parties also discussed the prospects for cooperation within international organizations, including in the Central Asia-Italy format. The positive experience of interaction at UN venues was noted. The importance of mutual support for international initiatives aimed at strengthening peace and sustainable development was emphasized.
The parties expressed confidence in continuing a fruitful partnership in all areas of mutual interest.
