During the holidays, it is permissible to sleep until noon or go to bed closer to midnight. A couple of days before the start of school, it is better to set a clear time for going to bed so that the child has the opportunity to get a good night's sleep. Recommendations for the duration of sleep have age-specific features: for children from 6 to 12 years old - 9-12 hours; for teenagers from 13 to 18 years old - 8-10 hours.
It is also important to take into account the psychological factor. The mood can get worse when the first day of school is ahead, so, give the child time to warm up. Cheer up: buy yourself or allow the child to buy something new for school. A pencil sharpener with a favorite cartoon character or a set of felt-tip pens - and now you want to go to school to show your purchases to your friends.
It is easier for a child to return to a school where it is safe, there are friends with whom it is interesting to communicate, and teachers treat students with attention and care. During the holidays, parents have a great opportunity to talk to their child, find out about his mood and worries, about his relationships with classmates and teachers.
