Turkmenistan Strengthens Partnership with Saudi Fund for Development
On January 7, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov met with Director General of the Saudi Fund for Development Sultan Abdulrahman Al-Marshad.
Turkmenistan has been cooperating with the Fund for many years, which has actively participated in financing a number of major national projects, including in the areas of healthcare, transport and communications, and finance.
The parties expressed their readiness to further expand the partnership and implement new initiatives, and the guest confirmed his great interest in Turkmenistan's investment opportunities.
Sultan Al-Marshad also met with Foreign Minister Rashid Meredov at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan. The meeting discussed promising projects with the participation of Saudi capital in the field of renewable energy, water and agriculture, and healthcare.
At the meeting of Sultan Al-Marshad with the management of the Board of the State Bank for Foreign Economic Affairs of Turkmenistan, a corresponding document was signed between the Government of Turkmenistan and the Saudi Fund for Development. This document is aimed at strengthening and expanding cooperation, as reported in the news release of the Turkmen State Television and Radio Broadcasting Company.
