The 17th Caspian International Transport, Transit and Logistics Exhibition (TransCaspian / Translogistica-2018) is taking place from 11 to 13 June in the Baku Expocenter. The 8th Caspian International Exhibition "Road Infrastructure and Public Transport" (Road & Traffic-2018) and the 5th anniversary Caspian International Exhibition "Boats and Yachts" (CIBS-2018) are also on one site with this exhibition. Caspian International Exhibition is one of the largest in the transport sphere of the Caspian region. The review gathered state transport structures and commercial organizations in the field of rail, sea and air communication, as well as logistics services. Companies from Azerbaijan, Austria, Greece, Lithuania, Russia, Turkmenistan, Turkey, Ukraine and a number of other countries represent their transport-transit potential. Experts believe that the new technologies presented in the exhibition will largely determine the vector of the future development of the transport and logistics industry. The International Sea Port of Turkmenbashi, which was inaugurated in early May this year, is participating in the exhibition for the first time. The new sea gate of Turkmenistan in the Caspian Sea was built taking into account modern world achievements in the port and transport sector. The seaport of Turkmenbashi is capable of receiving 17 million tons of cargo a year, without taking into account oil products. The modern port infrastructure allows to annually service 300 thousand passengers and 75 thousand trucks, and also to transport 400 thousand containers. Experts believe that the new Turkmen port in the Caspian Sea will allow the transit of cargoes in almost all directions in a short time. This is facilitated by the fact that the multimodal logistics park of the port is able to carry out a complex of services for the storage and combined processing of container cargo delivered by air, road and rail, ensuring their transshipment to and from water transport.
