The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkmenistan to the Republic of Belarus, Nazarguly Shagulyyev, participated in the regular meeting of the Council of Heads of Government of the Commonwealth of Independent States, which took place on December 12, 2024, in Moscow.

The meeting was also attended by the Prime Minister of Azerbaijan, Ali Asadov; the Prime Minister of the Republic of Belarus, Roman Golovchenko; the Prime Minister of Kazakhstan, Olzhas Bektanov; the Deputy Prime Minister of Armenia, Mger Grigoryan; the Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers and Head of the President's Administration of Kyrgyzstan, Akylbek Japarov; the Chairman of the Government of Russia, Mihail Mishustin; the Prime Minister of the Republic of Tajikistan, Kohir Rasulzoda; the Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Abdulla Aripov; and the Secretary General of the CIS, Sergey Lebedev.

The participants of the meeting discussed relevant issues of economic cooperation within the Commonwealth. They approved a Memorandum of Cooperation in the field of digital transformation of the transport complex. The document is aimed at expanding and deepening cooperation in this area, primarily to create the necessary and sufficient conditions for institutional and infrastructure transformations to build a digital transport infrastructure.

The participants also signed an Agreement on the training of personnel for penitentiary services. The document focuses on training relevant specialists through higher education programs—bachelor’s, specialist, master’s, and adjunct programs—as well as additional professional development programs.

The participants of the meeting adopted the Plan of Priority Activities in the field of humanitarian cooperation for 2025-2026.
