Football competitions run in Ashgabat
As part of the 12th Sports Contest among students of general education and vocational schools, the Ministry of Sports and Youth Policy of Turkmenistan, together with the Ministry of Education of the country, will hold football competitions among young Ashgabat residents in October. The purpose of the competition is to popularize sports and a healthy lifestyle among young people. The team of the school No. 43 of the capital won the tournament among the Ashgabat’s general educational institutions, and students of the 17th school took the second place. The final games between the teams of vocational schools and higher education institutions are to take place next week. According to the organizers, the participants demonstrate a high physical and technical training level, and the will to win. The organizers plan to hold a similar volleyball competition in November.
