Turkmenistan to announce international tender for banking system audit
In order to improve banking activities in Turkmenistan, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov approved a proposal to conduct an audit of banks' annual financial statements. This initiative is being implemented in accordance with the Turkmen laws "On Credit Institutions and Banking Activities" and "On Audit Activities", as well as the program for reforming accounting and auditing.
The audit aims to verify the reliability of financial statements and assess risks, which contributes to increasing transparency and trust in the banking system. Deputy Prime Minister Hojamyrat Geldimyradov has been tasked with organizing and conducting an international tender.
These measures demonstrate the country's commitment to modernizing the banking sector and implementing international standards in financial reporting.
