LED Monitors with road safety reminders installed in Ashgabat

In Ashgabat, city authorities and the traffic control service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Turkmenistan installed new LED monitors calling for compliance with traffic rules, Orient correspondent reports.
Billboards and LED monitors reminding drivers of the importance of observing traffic rules have been placed along roads, at elevated positions. This is done to encourage drivers to be more attentive on the roads.

The initiative utilizes creative slogans such as (unofficial translation): "Slow down, stay healthy!", "Watch out for children!", "Keep your eyes on the road, not your phone!", "Road safety is life safety!", "Give way to pedestrians!", "Don't forget to buckle up!", "Pay attention to road signs!".

This campaign once again confirms Turkmenistan's strong commitment to road safety. Proof of this is also the holding of dozens of international forums in 2024. One such forum is "International Transport and Transit Corridors: Interconnection and Development - 2024" (ITTC-2024), which was held recently. The forum became an important initiative in support of World Sustainable Transport Day.

At a meeting between the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov and the UN Secretary-General's Special Envoy for Road Safety Jean Todt, held on November 27, it was emphasized that ITTC-2024 supports the UN's global campaign "Safe roads for all". This initiative sets the tone for the upcoming 4th Global Ministerial Conference on Road Safety, scheduled for February 2025 in Marrakesh.
