Kazakh film and cartoon from Iran received prizes at the Warsaw Film Festival

Farhat Sharipov's film “18 kilohertz” won the Grand Prix of the prestigious film festival in Warsaw.
“18 kilohertz is the frequency of sound that adults cannot hear. The film is dedicated to the problems of adolescents. Growing up every year, it becomes more and more difficult to understand the problems of young people, problems that seemed unsolvable when you were a teenager yourself. It is difficult to remember the power of fear in which it is so difficult to find a way out. With this film I just wanted to remind you of all this,” said the director.
Cartoon "White Whale" by Iranian director Amir Mehran was named the best at the Warsaw International Film Festival.
The ten-minute animated film follows a man who is trying to find friends whom he lost many years ago. White whale is the only image and sign of a distant incident that remained in his memory.
