Member countries of the Organization of Turkic Speaking States (OTS) are creating the International Road Transport Association (OTS-URTA), Kazakhstan’s international news agency “Kazinform” reports.

The relevant agreement was signed by representatives of national associations of road carriers of member countries of the Organization of Turkic Speaking States, including Turkmenistan, in Istanbul.

This is an important step towards strengthening cooperation in the field of road transport between the OTS member states.

The Parties emphasized the collective determination of the OTS members to strengthen regional connectivity and economic cooperation.

The decision aims to optimize logistics, standardize transport rules and create a unified platform to address common challenges in the sector.

According to experts, with improved access to regional markets, the association will expand trade routes, optimize logistical opportunities, and unlock new economic potential. This, in turn, will ensure the competitiveness of the member countries on international markets.
