Turkmenistan and Qatar Discuss Development of Inclusive Education Initiatives
Turkmenistan and Qatar are discussing the prospects for joint educational initiatives. As part of the official visit to the State of Qatar, the delegation of the Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan held a number of significant meetings with representatives of Qatari educational institutions aimed at developing cooperation in the educational sphere.
The key point of the visit was the discussion of the prospects for creating joint programs to improve the qualifications of teachers, as well as the development of initiatives in the field of inclusive education aimed at supporting children with special educational needs.
Particular attention was paid to the negotiations with head of the Department of International Relations Ms. Laalei Abualfain and head of the Department of International Relations for Asian and African Affairs Ms. Amal Yousef Al Emadi. The discussions touched upon the expansion of ties between educational institutions of the two countries, the exchange of experience, conducting scientific research and organizing academic programs.
The Turkmen side expressed interest in the participation of schoolchildren and students in international Olympiads and other educational initiatives. At a meeting with the head of the school education department of Qatar, the emphasis was placed on the exchange of best practices in the field of primary and secondary education. The Turkmen side noted the importance of studying the Qatari experience in the application of modern technologies and approaches to teaching.
Additionally, the participants discussed the importance of the Memorandum of Understanding in the field of work with youth, signed in 2023 in Doha. This document serves as a platform for supporting young professionals, exchanging experiences and developing innovative programs that promote cultural and educational interaction.
At the end of the visit, the Turkmen delegation expressed gratitude to the Qatari side for its openness to dialogue and emphasized that the agreements reached will open new horizons for the joint development of the educational systems of the two countries. The visit confirmed the desire of Turkmenistan and Qatar to deepen the partnership, demonstrating a shared commitment to the development of education as the foundation of sustainable progress and cultural exchange.
