An English textbook for high school students has been released in Turkmenistan
Recently, a new textbook for the 11th grade of general secondary schools in Turkmenistan, titled “English Language (Second Foreign Language)” (authors: N. Öwezova, R. Soýunova, M. Allaberdiyeva), has been published.
As reported on the website of the Ministry of education of Turkmenistan, this textbook is based on modern didactic principles of teaching and education, effectively incorporating advanced methods and best practices in foreign language teaching.
The new 11th-grade textbook on “English Language (Second Foreign Language)” will offer wide opportunities for enhancing students' skills in reading, writing, and speaking in English, in accordance with the approved curriculum.
In order to modernize the education system in Turkmenistan, several documents have been adopted, including the “Concept of improving the teaching of foreign languages in Turkmenistan,” which serves as a key principle for enhancing and improving the quality of foreign language teaching. This aims to ensure the teaching of foreign languages at every level of education in line with national and international innovative practices.
